Questions people ask
Can my parents see my notes?
No. If you choose to share, a parent sees a weekly summary: study time, days studied, your streak, upcoming exams and topics you're revising. Never your notes, files, flashcards or tutor chats, and you can stop sharing at any time.
Can my school or coaching centre use StudyBuddy?
Yes. We set up your classes with join codes and can give your students the Student plan. Leave your email in the For schools section and we'll get in touch.
Is StudyBuddy free?
Yes. The Free plan has no time limit and needs no card: plans, flashcards, quizzes from your study guides and focus sessions are unlimited, with a monthly allowance of AI features. Student raises those limits, and you can try it free first.
Which phones does it work on?
Android phones. An iPhone version can follow from the same app later.
Does it work without internet?
Flashcard reviews and the focus timer work offline and sync when you're back online. Uploading notes, the tutor and new AI content need a connection.
Where do the AI answers come from?
From your own notes first. StudyBuddy uses Google Gemini, gives it the passages from your notes that matter, and shows which page each answer came from. If an answer goes beyond your notes, it says so.
What happens to my notes and data?
They're used only to help you study. You can delete any material at any time, and deleting your account removes everything after a 7-day window in case you change your mind.
What if my plan ends?
Nothing is deleted. You go back to the Free plan's limits, and everything you made stays where it is.
